Break Out The Yellow Leather: “Freddie For A Day” Celebrates 20th Anniversary

Today, September 5th, would have been Freddie Mercury’s 66th birthday. It is also the 20th anniversary of “Freddie For A Day“, an annual even started back in 1992 that encourages fans of Freddie to celebrate his life by doing something Freddie-esque, like dress like Freddie, create a piece of art in Mercury’s image, all by raising money for the Mercury Phoenix Trust and, Mercury’s AIDS charity.

Freddie The Angry Bird“, a cartoon short featuring Mercury as a character from the popular video game Angry Birds, went viral. I can’t wait to see what else Freddie Fan’s come up with today via the official Freddie For A Day.
