The Walken will be staring (at you!) in the upcoming Broadway production, A Behanding in Spokane. Walken’s character, Charmichael, is searching for his lost hand. Sam Rockwell (Choke, Moon, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind) has also been cast in the play, which is set to open a 16-week run on March 4, 2010 at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre in New York.

It seems like everyone is on Twitter except for me and Christopher Walken. Oh, wait, I forgot the point of this post was to tell you that Christopher Walken is now on Twitter. My bad. Here’s something from Walken’s Twitter site posted earlier today:

There’s a kid on a Pogo stick in front of my house. It’s nearly midnight so let’s assume he’s been drinking. This should end well for him.

So is it actually The Real Walken behind this Twitter page? Probably not but it’s still pretty sweet. More Twitter musings from Christopher Walken (maybe) here…

The task at hand for participants in the Forgotten Works Challenge is to create 30 pieces in 30 days. One rather good-looking participant said that he completed his 30 pieces in ahem, 26 days.

Starting on the December 4th Artwalk, 1500 8″ x 10″ pieces of art from 50 different artists will be on display (and for sale) at the The Tashiro-Kaplan Building in Seattle. You can get a sneak-peek at the show on Wednesday, December 3rd from 5pm – 8pm. Then, on Saturday, December 6th, any remaining pieces go on sale on starting at Noon. Past FWC events have been a bit of a frenzy so, get there early.

…and even though this vintage Christopher Walken face, that face is still, The Walken. As I sit here watching Suicide Kings, I too have realized that even a very bad movie can still has a silver Christopher Walken lining. But back to the young clown-faced Walken (above). I don’t know about you but this series of photos from 1955 is kind of creepy. I mean, it’s kind of redundant to say you hate clowns. And that’s because I’m pretty sure nobody really likes Clowns in the first place. Anyways, not-so-strangely-enough, Walken said he actually did join the circus when he was young:

When I was a kid I joined the circus. I did that. It is true. But it’s not like you think. There was a guy, he had his own circus. His name was Carol Jacobs and he owned it. It was a small thing.

The Walken Clown is freaking me out.

This ’shopped image of Walken in clown makeup contradicts the popular Walken quote “I don’t need to be made to look evil. I can do that on my own.” Walken also once said that he heard that people think his hair grows out of his brain, but never denied that it doesn’t. Which makes me sure that it does. The Walken by Robin Eley.

I love this painting of Walken by Australian artist Robin Eley (above). You might be familiar with Eley from his work in the Progressive and Time. But let’s get back to The Walken. In addition to being a cinematic bad-ass, an excellent hoofer and notorious animal lover, Walken is also a painter. In 2003 Walken showed, Works on Paper at the DCA, in New York. The Continental had this very Walken-like thing to say about his abstract tendencies:

I am an abstract painter, but I don’t mix colours up too much. I like clear reds and yellows and greens and orange. My paintings are not a mess. They are sort of neat abstracts. Very colorful, but not about anything in particular; they are not bowls of fruit or anything. But very nice, very pleasant.

Walken’s face is as iconic as the characters he’s created over the last 50 years. There’s loads of images of Walken out there, but I really dig this one (above), as it captures Walken’s unflinching, cooler-than-thou presence. It’s always struck me as kind of weird to see an image of a celebrity on someone’s skin. Of course, having Christopher Walken tattooed on your skin will not get you on that creepy tattoo list. Okay, the Walken tattoo above is totally on the creepy tattoo list, but Cherrybomb says it’s creepy-cool. You want creepy? This is creepy…

And finally, it’s not your boozy imagination, this tattoo of Christopher Walken is looking at that guy next to you – you can’t see him, but The Walken can.

Which leads me to these two, simple life-rules. First, you should never trust anyone who doesn’t dig The Walken. Second, aways trust someone with a tattoo of Christopher Walken. Although I don’t have any physical evidence on that second rule, I’m pretty sure the first rule makes the second rule a sure thing.
