Slayer, World Painted Blood. From 2009’s, World Painted Blood.
Often, a video can elevate a song to new levels of awesomeness. This is one of those times. The new video for Slayer’s single “World Painted Blood” is a cross between an episode of Metalocalypse and, what it might be like seeing Slayer live while tripping your balls out on acid. The video was directed by Marvel comic/graphic artist Mark Brooks who, in addition to his contributions to Metalocalypse, also directed the 20 minute short “Playing With Dolls” that was released with the deluxe edition of World Painted Blood last year.
This new video from Yazima Beauty Salon has everything! Cupcakes (see previous post), cannibalism, shaving, back alley way brawls, bulging cartoon eyeballs, 80’s Japanese pop-star Seiko and, the boys girls from Yazima Beauty Salon!

Most metal song about bubblegum ever recorded. Word.
Bloodbath, directed by Stephen Reedy. A companion short to Winter Stalker.
If you ask me, being subtly threatened with bloody mayhem is a great way to get someone to buy a t-shirt. If you’re in NY and happen to be covered in blood (it happens), get to the ZEROFRIENDS retail store at 437 East 9th. As of January 30th, Zerofriends will take over the Upper Playground space and assault you with an appalling array of amazing merch.
Now, back to the star of this post, Bloodbath! As with the Winter Stalker video there will be a contest. The winner of the Winter Stalker contest got a signed Alex Pardee print so in the case of Bloodbath, crime does pay. More details will be announced on February 4th.
Swinging North Carolina couple looking for good times. He enjoys Bi, unless another man is involved. She enjoys Bi because her husband tells her she better enjoy it.

Iggy Pop’s second commercial for car insurance company Swiftcover.
My money’s on Little Iggy this time! The terrifying puppet version of Iggy Pop, featured in this second commercial (above) for UK car insurance company Swiftcover, clearly knows how to party. Anyway, if you somehow missed Igg’s first gig with Swiftcover, you can see it here on Cherrybombed.com.
Cherrybombed.com is about the music and culture of the Pacific Northwest, as well as other cool happenings around the world. We also shine a spotlight on celebrities behaving badly. Here, you will find videos, low-brow artwork and images, and tattoos only a mother could hate.
If boozing was an olympic event, we would be on a box of Wheaties. If this all sounds familiar to you (and your mother), welcome home.
