<p><em>Son of Terror, 2008. A film by Anthony De Gennaro. </em></p>
<p>Local <strong>Seattle</strong> filmmaker, <strong>Anthony De Gennaro</strong> will be screening his new movie, <a title="Son of Terror - Official Movie Site" href="http://www.sonofterror.com/about.html">Son of Terror</a>, at the <a title="Jewel Box Theater - Seattle" href="http://www.jewelboxtheater.com/main/">Rendezvous JewelBox Theater</a> October 28th and 29th. De Gennaro had this to say about the inspiration for <em>Son</em>:</p>
<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;Son of Terror&#8221; examines the inner workings of a mentally ill person set on the stage of a monster movie. Inspired by the homeless problem in Pioneer Square, Seattle, this film takes a fictional look at the horror of mental illness. You will have a front row seat inside this character&#8217;s mind and experience the reality of his inner struggle.</em></p></blockquote>
<p>An independent movie shot on film, <strong>Son of Terror</strong> was actually filmed in <strong>Seattle&#8217;s</strong> historic, and sometimes creepy, <strong>Pioneer Square</strong>. The<strong> </strong>screenings<em> </em>at<em> </em>the<strong> JewelBox</strong><em> (there will be two shows per night at  6:15 &amp; 8:15 PM)</em> are only $6. The proceeds from the screenings will help get <em><strong>Son of Terror</strong></em> entered into movie festivals.</p>
<p>Support the local-local and be there! Thanks to the Mad Irish Man for the tip and the links&#8230;</p>

<p><em>Tyrannosaurus Rex, a movie by Rob Zombie, coming in 2009. </em></p>
<p>Even though <strong>Zombie</strong> ripped off <a title="Lemmy - The Movie - Cherrybombed.com" href="http://www.cherrybombed.com/2008/05/coming-soon-lemmy-the-movie/">Lemmy</a> on the Motherfucker/SOB joke, I&#8217;m okay with that. That&#8217;s because it looks like <strong>Danny Trejo</strong> will play the lead <em>(along with Zombie&#8217;s wife Sheri Moon)</em> in Zombie&#8217;s upcoming flick, due out in <strong>2009</strong>. And since we all know <a title="Champion - The Story of Danny Trejo - Official Site" href="http://www.championmovie.com/champion">Danny Trejo</a> is <strong>100%</strong> motherfucker, this movie will undoubtedly be the balls. <strong>Zombie</strong> had this to say about <strong>T-Rex</strong> via his <a title="Rob Zombie - Myspace" href="http://www.myspace.com/robzombie">official website</a>:</p>
<blockquote><p>My next live action feature is called TYRANNOSAURUS REX. I don’t want to give away any details yet, but I will tell you that it has nothing to do with dinosaurs.</p></blockquote>
<p>I don&#8217;t care what this flick is about as long as <strong>Danny Trejo</strong> is in it. For more on <strong>Trejo</strong>, check out the <strong>2005</strong> documentary, <a title="Champion Trailer - Danny Trejo's Story" href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sl0pGvtvPd0">Champion</a>. It chronicles<strong> Trejo&#8217;s</strong> extraordinary life, including a trip back to <strong>Trejo&#8217;s</strong> old cell at <strong>San Quentin Prison</strong>.</p>

And that&#8217;s because <strong>Pierro&#8217;s</strong> subjects often look like your old <strong>Teddy Bear</strong> or an innocent cartoon character from your past. Except your favorite teddy is <a title="Isaac Pierro - Not Murder, Just Business - Isaac Pierro.com" href="http://www.isaacpierro.com/~isaacpie/index.php?action=view_gallery&amp;id=7&amp;module=imagegallerymodule&amp;src=%40random4280388446d81">holding a knife</a>, drenched in blood.</p>
<p>In case you&#8217;re wondering, <strong>Pierrio&#8217;s</strong> Qupid get&#8217;s it <a title="Isaac Pierro - Qupid Ax to the Head - Distinction Gallery.com" href="http://distinctionart.com/shows/pierro/pierro_1_n_10.html">in the skull</a> with an <strong>ax</strong>. <em>Isaac Pierro, Portrait of a Killer, 2005.</em></p>
<p><strong>Pierro&#8217;s</strong>, Portrait <em>(above)</em>, is a prime example of his mastery of sweet childhood memory meets slasher-killer run amuck in Disneyland.</p>

<em>Isaac Pierro, This One Goes Above Your Bar, 2007</em></p>
<p>I think by now that you might get the sense that <strong>Pierro</strong> gets <a title="Walt Disney - Skeleton Dance - Youtube" href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jkhxjzc9uuE"><strong>Walt Disney</strong></a> in much the same way that horror-photog <a title="Joshua Hoffine on Walt Disney - Joshua Hoffine Horror Blog" href="http://joshuahoffine.wordpress.com/2008/06/03/walt-disney/">Joshua Hoffine gets Disney</a>. <p>Lastly, I had to post <strong>Pierro&#8217;s</strong> <em>Looking Back</em>, so I could be sure that you would take a long, last look at <strong>Pierro&#8217;s</strong> incredible work. How could you not? Looking at <em>Looking Back</em> is like seeing through <strong>Pierro&#8217;s</strong> own eyes when he saw this piece of broken-up wood. <strong>Pierro&#8217;s</strong> book, <em><strong>I Killed Qupid</strong></em>, is due out in <strong>2009</strong>. <p>And since today actually is <em>420</em>, let&#8217;s all take a bong break, and enjoy this German cell phone commercial featuring <strong><a href="http://www.snoopdogg.com/">Snoop Dogg</a></strong> emerging from a smoking fridge, singing in German. There&#8217;s also a couple of hot chicks jumping around in shorts all covered in bubbles. &#8216;Cause that&#8217;s how Snoop rolls yo.</p>

<p><a title="We Feel Fine.org - TRIPPY!" href="http://wefeelfine.org/">We Feel Fine</a> was created by <a title="Johnathan Harris is smarter than you...Number27.org" href="http://www.number27.org/biography.html">Jonathan Harris</a>, a <strong>29</strong> year old Brooklyn native. Harris has won more Webby Awards than you can shake your computer mouse at. And with good reason. Bitch is <em>SMART</em>.</p>
<p>If you&#8217;ve never seen <a title="We Feel Fine.org - SERIOUSLY, IT'S TRIPPY!" href="http://wefeelfine.org/">We Feel Fine</a>, get ready to be totally freaked. Type in a word that describes how you feel, and <strong>We Feel Fine </strong>finds people experiencing the same emotions at that very moment. <em>Trippy</em>.</p>

<em>Robin Zander wants you to want me&#8230;</em></p>
<p>Earlier this year, Harris opened his newest creation, <a title="I Want You TO Want Me - Jonathan Harris" href="http://iwantyoutowantme.org/statement.html">I Want You To Want Me</a>, commissioned by the New York Museum of Modern Art. <strong>IWYTWM</strong> culls data (<em>like turn-on&#8217;s, the persons age or favorite busy-time position</em>) from on-line dating services and compiles them, out of context, in it&#8217;s database. The data is then played back to viewers as a &#8220;mirror&#8221; in which they might see a part of themselves. <span style="font-style: italic">Whoa&#8230;</span></p>

Krauss performs some Zep covers during the live sets. And that&#8217;s no small deal. Covering Zep is either going to go incredible well or horribly wrong. And sometimes you might get lucky and make that song your own like Johnny did with Hurt. And like Krauss&#8217; does when she covers Zep&#8217;s &#8220;<em>When the Levee Breaks</em>&#8220;. Happy Chichester&#8217;s tune <em>Shadows</em> <em>Remember the Day</em> has the same feel as Radiohead&#8217;s, <em>In Rainbows</em>. Dreamy and melodic. No wonder Chichester has written songs that were recorded by <strong>The Afghan Whigs</strong> and <strong>Shawn Smith</strong>.</p>

<em>Puppetry of the Penis. April 29 &#8211; May 4th Act Theatre</em></p>
<p>Cherrybomb took in <strong>POTP</strong> a couple years back and based on her experience, gives you this advice. If you like to laugh to the point of crying, go see <strong><a title="Puppetry of the Penis - Official Site" href="http://www.puppetryofthepenis.com/background.html">Puppetry of the Penis</a></strong>. If you like watching something while you clasp your hands across your face in some half-assed attempt to <strong><em>NOT</em></strong> see something, go see <strong>Puppetry of the Penis</strong> (<em>by the way, you&#8217;re not fooling anyone with the hands on eyes thing</em>). Finally, if you like seeing <strong>Penis&#8217;s</strong> being bent and twisted so they look like hairy-dick-pretzels, go see <strong>Puppetry of the Penis</strong>. <strong><em>Penis</em>.</strong></p>

<em>Galactic really does play that funky music&#8230; </em></p>
<p>Finally, <strong><a title="Galactic - From the Corner to the Block is out now..." href="http://www.galacticfunk.com/NEW2007/band/index.php?skin=1">Galactic</a></strong> is back in Seattle at <strong>The Tractor Tavern </strong>on <strong>Saturday May 17th</strong>. Last time Galactic funked their way through Seattle it was with <strong>Chali 2Na</strong> of <em>Jurassic Five</em>. This time around Galactic will funk it up with <strong><a title="Stanton Moore - Official Site" href="http://www.stantonmoore.com/bio/index.htm">Stanton Moore</a></strong> and the Jazzy hands of <strong><a title="Will Bernard - Jazz from Brooklyn" href="http://www.myspace.com/willbernard">Will Bernard</a></strong> and <strong><a title="Wil Blades and his Jazzy Keys" href="http://www.wilblades.com/">Wil Blades</a></strong>.</p>
<p>Now <em>Get The Fuck Out</em> already&#8230;</p>

<em>The 2010 Pontiac El Camino G8 Sport Truck </em></p>
<p>The folks at <strong>Pontiac</strong> have officially lost their minds. Because nothing could convince me that the picture <em>above</em> is in any way, an<a title="That Ain't No El Camino - Jalopnik.com" href="http://jalopnik.com/366699/2010-pontiac-g8-sport-truck-the-el-camino-is-back"> <strong>El Camino</strong></a>. Pontiac&#8217;s redux of the mythical <strong>El Camino </strong>is the latest in the ongoing bastardization of cars that were once cool. It also one-up&#8217;s <strong><a title="Mustang Shelby GT500 - 2008 - WTF" href="http://autoshows.ford.com/158/2007/04/03/powerful-mustang-2008-shelby/">Fords uncool assault</a></strong> on the <strong><a title="1967 Mustang Shelby - Shelby Blog" href="http://67mustangblog.com/?p=392">Shelby</a></strong> this year.</p>
<p>Due out in <strong>2010</strong>, it&#8217;s the first time since <strong>1987</strong> that the <strong>El Camino</strong> has been manufactured. Why does every car manufactured these days have to look 50 cents short of a <a title="Toyota Camry is every car now..." href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_Camry"><strong>Toyota Camry</strong></a>? And while I definitely don&#8217;t mean to imply that <strong>Pontiac</strong> has actually manufactured an <strong>El Camino</strong>, you might be asking Cherrybomb &#8220;why is the <span style="font-weight: bold">2008 El Camino</span> not really an El Camino?&#8221;</p>
<p>Because this, is an <strong><em>El Camino:<br />
</em></strong><br />
<img src="http://cherrybombed.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/03/el-camino-1970-ss.jpg" alt="el-camino-1970-ss.jpg" width="463" height="347" /><br />
<em>The Real Deal &#8211; 1970 El Camino SS</em></p>
<p>It&#8217;s rumored that a <strong>1972 El Camino</strong> owned by <strong>Frank Sinatra</strong> sold at an East Coast auction for <strong>$50K</strong>. Mint vintage generations of the <strong>El Camino</strong> routinely sell in upwards of <strong>$25K</strong>. Cherrybomb&#8217;s friend, Frankie Laughing Gas drove a 1970&#8217;s <strong><a title="1960 Purple El Camino - Sweet" href="http://www.seriouswheels.com/pics-1960-1969/1960-El-Camino-purple-le.jpg">purple El Camino</a></strong>. Until he crashed it into a wall while a young Cherrybomb sat in the back seat.</p>
<p>Those were good times.</p>
<p>Anyways, all I know is two things: Pontiac didn&#8217;t make no El Camino. And if Mustang decides to regurgitate a version of the <strong><a title="1971 Mustang Mach 1 - The baddest Mustang ever - Howstuffworks.com" href="http://auto.howstuffworks.com/1971-1972-1973-ford-mustang6.htm">1971 Mach 1</a></strong>, I&#8217;m calling Frankie Laughing Gas and we&#8217;re driving into that wall again. Oh wait&#8230;they did that <strong><a title="Ford Fucks Up The Coolest Mustang Ever - The Mustang Mach 1 - Ewww" href="http://www.mach1registry.com/photos/Job1/index.htm">in 2003</a></strong>.</p>
<p>Better call Frankie.</p>
<p>*<em>Editors Note: In regards to the author&#8217;s comments about the 2008 Mustang Sheby, the author is aware that the 2008 Shelby redesign was </em><em>based</em><em> more on the 1968 Shelby model and not the 1967 Shelby provided in this <a title="1967 Mustang Shelby - Shelby Blog" href="http://67mustangblog.com/?p=392">link</a>. But that still makes the <a title="Mustang Shelby GT500 - 2008 - WTF" href="http://autoshows.ford.com/158/2007/04/03/powerful-mustang-2008-shelby/">2008 Shelby</a> fat, and ugly. Like your mother. *</em></p>

Anyways, in the words of the Godfather himself, this vid is gonna blow your mind.</p>

<em>Goldmember goes organic &#8211; 24K Gold Plated vibrator</em></p>
<p>Oh how I love <strong><a title="Current TV - Al Gore's Cable Station..." href="http://current.com/">Current TV</a></strong>. Check out this five minute, viewer produced piece on the <a title="Organic Pleasures Pod - Current TV" href="http://current.com/items/88853355_organic_pleasures">London Sex Shop, Organic Pleasures.</a> Everyone should have a 24 K Gold Plated dildo. Everyone. Not just me. Opened in 2007, <strong>Organic Pleasures</strong> carries <a title="Organic Pleasures - Whips and Lube and Wax - Oh MY!" href="http://www.organicpleasures.co.uk/categories.php">loads of toys</a> and features a line of organic sex products that includes <a title="Organic Lube - 'Cause you're worth it - Organic Pleasures" href="http://www.organicpleasures.co.uk/shopping.php?cat=11">organic lube</a>. Which is cool because have you ever looked at the ingredients on a tube of lube? No? Yeah, me either but I bet you can&#8217;t pronounce them. Anyways, being all green is really sexy now so I&#8217;m pretty sure if you <a title="Riding Crop - Organic Pleasures" href="http://www.organicpleasures.co.uk/shopping.php?cat=14">whip</a> out your fancy organic lube you&#8217;re totally getting laid. I mean, finally getting laid. What a relief. For your hand.</p>
<p>Personally, Cherrybomb thinks Organic Pleasures version of Plaster Caster, <em><a title="Cloneboy - Take your favorite penis with you everywhere you go! - Organic Pleasures" href="http://www.organicpleasures.co.uk/detail.php?pr=1">Cloneboy</a></em>, would make a great birthday gift for your favorite nympho-on-the-go. The mythical <a title="King Missile - Detachable Penis" href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=byDiILrNbM4">Detachable Penis</a> is no longer just a song that commercial radio will not play. It&#8217;s a reality.</p>
<p>Thanks to <a title="Current TV is Al Gore - Al Gore is Current TV" href="http://current.com/people/algore"><em>Al Gore</em></a> for the link&#8230;</p>

<em> Wendy&#8217;s back and so are you&#8230;</em></p>
<p>I don&#8217;t know about you, but my ears and liver are still recovering from <strong>Mos Generator</strong> and the <strong>DT&#8217;s</strong> last Friday. Wonder Woman is on her way to Colorado to fight injustice but before she left, WW gave all her records (<em>around 200</em>) to Cherrybomb. It&#8217;s like heavy metal Christmas in Cherrybomb&#8217;s house right now. My turntable is hot and I got the Aqua Net pink can out. Spandex might also be involved but you&#8217;ll never know. Anyways, one of the best things to happen to Seattle in a while, the <strong><a href="http://www.myspace.com/kingcobraseattle" title="King Cobra - Seattle">King Cobra</a></strong> has got some of the best bills in the city this weekend and into March. Now get ready to flash your devil signs and <em><strong>G</strong>et <strong>T</strong>he <strong>F</strong>uck <strong>O</strong>ut&#8230;</em></p>
<p><strong>Thursday, February 28th</strong>:</p>

<strong><a href="http://www.myspace.com/thewhoremoanssuck" title="The Whore Moans - Seattle">The Whore Moans</a></strong><br />
Neumo&#8217;s</p>
<p>I love <strong><a href="http://www.myspace.com/handshandshands" title="The Hands - Seattle">The Hands</a></strong>. Every time I hear something off this new record I get sticky fingers. I mean, <em>listen</em> to <strong><a href="http://www.amazon.com/Sticky-Fingers-Rolling-Stones/dp/B000000W5N" title="Sticky Fingers - The Rolling Stones">Sticky Fingers</a></strong>. Wow, that was an awkward silence. And while I know I&#8217;m not the first person to make this comparison, but it&#8217;s inescapable. Anyways, Cherrybomb wouldn&#8217;t miss this show for anything. Which means you shouldn&#8217;t either. Got it?</p>
<p><strong>Saturday, March 1st</strong>:</p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.myspace.com/neonnights" title="Neon Nights - Seattle - Hot damn...">Neon Nights</a></strong><br />

<em>The best of Thin Lizzy at King Cobra &#8211; March 20th</em></p>
<p><strong>March 7th</strong>, <strong><a href="http://www.slimcessnasautoclub.com/news/" title="Slim Cessna's Auto Club">Slim Cessna&#8217;s Auto Club </a></strong>will be at The Showbox In The Lounge. SCAC new record <strong><a href="http://www.alternativetentacles.com/news.php" title="Cipher - Alternative Tentacles"><em>Cipher</em></a></strong> comes out on <strong><a href="http://www.alternativetentacles.com/home.php?sd=ywc2K3SpLvK-gmIjdSd" title="Alternative Tentacles">Alternative Tentacles</a></strong>, <strong>March 25th</strong>. If I have to tell you this is one sweet bill, you know nothing about music. And since I started this post telling you King Cobra it taking over Seattle, here is more proof. KC will hold the first installment of monthly benefit shows for <strong><a href="http://www.grammy.com/Musicares/" title="Music Cares">Music Cares</a></strong> on <strong>March 20th</strong> with <strong><a href="http://www.thecopsmusic.com/" title="The Cops - Seattle">The Cops</a></strong>, <strong><a href="http://www.northtwin.net/" title="North Twin - Seattle - Hi Tim!">North Twin</a></strong> and <strong><a href="http://www.sundaynightblackout.com/" title="Sunday Night Blackout - Seattle">Sunday Night Blackout</a></strong>. The Cobra twist on this one is all the bands are covering <strong><a href="http://www.thin-lizzy.net/" title="Thin Lizzy">Thin Lizzy</a></strong>. For the love of <strong><a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cr0C0ExEJyo" title="Gary Moore - Still Got the Blues - You know you remember this song...">Gary Moore</a></strong> the <strong>King Cobra</strong> is throwing down the gauntlet of boozy, musical excellence. Other clubs might take a hint&#8230;</p>

<em>Stone and her &#8220;lucky&#8221; rabbit&#8217;s foot at a post-Oscar party </em></p>
<p>&#8230;dead ones. It seems every time I have the misfortune of seeing a photo of Sharon Stone she is draped in some dead animal skin. This week however, Sharon decided to play it safe and showed up at a post-Oscar party wearing a white suit with a white rabbit paw pinned to the lapel. Sharon Stone is a classy lady. I think the only animal Sharon has yet to adorn is a fucking Yeti and that&#8217;s because Yeti is in hiding. From Sharon Stone that is&#8230;</p>
<p><img src="http://cherrybombed.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/02/sharon-stone-and-her-cape-of-death.jpg" alt="sharon-stone-and-her-cape-of-death.jpg" /><br />
<em>Sharon Stone in a Fendi fur carpet&#8230;</em></p>
<p>I&#8217;m really confused. Isn&#8217;t LA warm? Maybe Sharon thinks this monstrosity helps bring out the color in her dead eyes. I mean, everyone knows that the &#8220;<em>light</em>&#8221; from dead animal souls is really flattering.</p>
<p><img src="http://cherrybombed.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/02/sharon-stone-blue-fur.jpg" alt="sharon-stone-blue-fur.jpg" width="282" height="346" /><br />
<em>Sharon Stone in the blue wrap of death&#8230; </em></p>
<p>Okay, so this (<span style="font-style: italic">above</span>) has to be fake because I know of no animals with blue fur. On this planet anyway. Perhaps Sharon had the <a title="Metal Cookie Monster Video - Youtube" href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tPvxQ5cSeZQ"><strong>Cookie Monster</strong></a> aced so she could stay warm. Anyways, Cherrybomb thinks wearing any fur is gross but wearing blue fur totally makes you look old. <span style="font-style: italic">And</span> fat.</p>

<em>Sharon Stone says there is no such thing as too much fur&#8230; </em></p>
<p>Hello! I&#8217;m Sharon Stone, actress and former Burger King spokesperson. Here is a photo of me out in LA. As you can see, LA is very cold this time of year. Because the weather in Los Angeles can be so harsh, I have created a checklist for myself so I can be adequately prepared in the event of a winter apocolypse:</p>
<p>Fur coat? Check.</p>
<p>Fur hat? Check.</p>
<p>Fur Scarf? Check.</p>
<p>Fur trimmed handbag? Check.</p>
<p>Security guard posing as &#8220;random smiling guy&#8221; to protect me from PETA? Check.</p>
<p>Dignity? Chec&#8230;wait a minute! That&#8217;s a <span style="font-style: italic">trick</span> question. I&#8217;m <a title="Sharon Stone GO FUG YOURSELF" href="http://gofugyourself.typepad.com/go_fug_yourself/sharon_stone/index.html">Sharon Stone</a><a title="Sharon Stone GO FUG YOURSELF" href="http://gofugyourself.typepad.com/go_fug_yourself/sharon_stone/index.html">.</a> I have no dignity!</p>

<p>Cherrybomb likes art. Salvador Dali has always been a favorite. How the beautiful and disturbing world of <a title="Lots of words about Beksinski..." href="http://www.polishartgallery.com/exhibition/welcome.htm">Zdsislaw Beksinski</a> was unknown to me before now is beyond me. Beksinski&#8217;s would have turned 79 last week if his life had not been cut short by a teenage friend of his caretaker. The teen is currently serving 25 years in a Warsaw prison. And while that sounds pretty bad, most prison sentences in Poland are not carried out due to severe overcrowding.</p>

<p>Some of Beksinski&#8217;s original, signed works are available <a title="Beksinski" href="http://www.beksinski.pl/masterlist.htm">here</a>. <em>Wonder Woman temporarily replaces Wendy O. Evildoers beware! </em></p>
<p>Dang. It feels like it was just a weekend, and now it&#8217;s practically the weekend again. Just the way I likes it. This weekend, Team Cherrybomb will be out in force on Friday. It&#8217;s a special and sad night for us as one of our own is moving to Colorado. Which, by all accounts, is a very nice place to be going off to. I mean, there&#8217;s the mountains, the clean air, the running into Robert Redford at Starbucks. I mean, it&#8217;s practically Seattle. Except in Seattle you run into Mark Arm at an out-of-the-way coffee shop that <em>isn&#8217;t</em> Starbucks. I&#8217;m gonna miss you, Wonder Woman. I can&#8217;t wait to kick Seattle&#8217;s ass with you one more time.</p>
<p>Now, where should you be this weekend, and beyond? Let me check your crystal balls and see&#8230;</p>
<p><strong>Editor&#8217;s Note</strong>: <em>Cherrybomb has no balls of her own. But if she did, they would be made of diamonds, not some cheap-ass Mikasa crystal. Also, I am repeating some stuff from last week because it bears repeating. Not &#8217;cause I forgot&#8230;</em><em>Also, I am repeating some stuff from last week because it bears repeating. Take that, brain cell.<br />
</em></p>
<p style="font-style: italic"><strong>Wednesday, February 20th</strong>:<img src="http://cherrybombed.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/02/rnr-soldiers-dont-give-a-fuck-about-you.jpg" alt="rnr-soldiers-dont-give-a-fuck-about-you.jpg" width="416" height="488" /><br />
Rock &#8216;n&#8217; Roll Soldiers just got their hair did. Don&#8217;t mess with it&#8230;</p>
<p><strong><a title="Rock n Roll Soldiers - Eugene Oregon" href="http://www.rnrsoldiers.com/">Rock &#8216;n&#8217; Roll Soldiers</a></strong><br />
@Sonic Ballroom<br />
Oberhauen, Germany</p>
<p>Don&#8217;t I wish I was telling you <span style="font-weight: bold">RnR Soldiers</span> were right here in Seattle tonight. However, we must be happy for our Oregon friends, as this is the second night of their &#8216;08 European tour. The band has already hit Spain and Paris, and by all reports, both locations are still mostly standing. The excellent <a title="Rock n Roll Soldiers - Amazon" href="http://www.amazon.com/Many-Musicians-Kill-Rock-Soldiers/dp/B00069A6CM"><em>So Many Musicians to Kill </em></a>would improve even the most worthy record collection. Favorite <strong>RNRS</strong> verse? <em>You say you love me, but I&#8217;ll make you hate me. You say you love me, but I don&#8217;t give a fuck about you</em>. Straight and to the point. Just how I likes it&#8230;</p>
<p><strong>Friday, February 22nd</strong>:</p>
<p><strong>The DT&#8217;s<br />

<p>If you miss this show, get to Bellingham on Saturday, <strong>March 29th,</strong> and catch <strong><a title="The DT's - Seattle" href="http://www.estrus.com/bands/dts/">The DT&#8217;s</a></strong> with <strong><a title="Black Eyes and Neckties - Bellingham, Washington" href="http://www.myspace.com/blackeyesandneckties">Black Eyes and Neckties</a></strong> and <strong><a title="Skullbot - Seattle" href="http://www.myspace.com/skullbot">Skullbot</a> </strong>at the Rogue Hero. Cherrybomb wouldn&#8217;t miss this show, though. Especially since the clown on the <a title="Fantagraphics DT's Flier by Tim Silbaugh" href="http://www.fantagraphics.com/index.php?option=com_myblog&amp;show=Catch-the-DT-s.html&amp;Itemid=113">flier for this show</a> told me not too miss it. And I always do everything the clowns tell me to do.</p>

<em>Dennis Hopper Pop Art by <a title="Ed Ruscha - LA" href="http://www.edruscha.com/">Ed Ruscha </a></em></p>
<p><strong>The Cool School</strong><br />
<a title="North West Film Forum - Seattle" href="http://www.nwfilmforum.org/cinemas/calendar.php">Northwest Film Forum</a><br />
The Cool School is a trip back to the 1950&#8217;s art beat scene in LA. It includes interviews with Dennis Hopper and Frank Gehry, and focuses on the Ferus Gallery in LA, which held the very first Andy Warhol show. I think NWFF sums it up best here:</p>
<p><em>The Cool School is a vivid picture of the inspiring scene and shares the untold story of a group of scrappy artists that shook up the dull tastemakers, got arrested for obscenity, and ultimately established the importance of West Coast art.</em></p>
<p><strong><a title="The Cool School" href="http://www.nwfilmforum.org/cinemas/calendar.php">The Cool School</a></strong> runs through <strong>Thursday, February 28th</strong>. And since I&#8217;m on the topic of Art, I was horribly remiss in not mentioning the opening of “<a title="A Cabinet of Natural Curiosities - Roc La Rue - Seattle" href="http://www.roqlarue.com/"><strong><em>A Cabinet Of Natural Curiosities</em></strong></a>” at the Roq La Rue on February 8th. While the gallery at The Roc will feature animals and other interpretations of living creatures, I love this piece by one of the shows featured artists, Lisa Petrucci (<em>below</em>)</p>
<p><img src="http://cherrybombed.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/02/josie-and-the-pussycats-lisa-petrucci.jpg" alt="josie-and-the-pussycats-lisa-petrucci.jpg" /></p>
<p>The wood art of Lisa Petrucci is sweet. And let&#8217;s face it. You haven&#8217;t really lived unless you have seen <a title="Lisa Petrucci - Wood Artist - Awesome Person" href="http://www.lisapetrucci.com/html/index.html">a painting of a naked woman</a> on a piece of wood. The show also includes the macabre and prolific works of LA&#8217;s Liz McGrath. To further stick it to you that girls <em><strong>can</strong></em> do it all, McGrath&#8217;s band, <strong><a title="Miss Derringer " href="http://www.missderringer.com/home.html">Miss Derringer</a></strong>, just finished up a ten-stop tour of the West Coast.</p>

<p>Holy Hellgate. This show is right on, so <em>Dig It</em>. This show is so good, it&#8217;s gonna bring Cherrybomb to The Comet two nights in a row. Take that, liver. And in keeping with the Colorado theme for this post, Thee Emergency will be at <strong><a title="Thee Emergency Tour Schedule" href="http://www.theeemergency.com/SHOWS.htm">The Rocket Room in CO on March 21st</a></strong>.</p>
<p><em>Looking Ahead</em>:</p>
<p><img style="width: 383px; height: 589px;" src="http://cherrybombed.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/02/the-supersuckers.jpg" alt="the-supersuckers.jpg" /><br />
<em>The Supersuckers got stars and guitars&#8230;</em></p>
<p><a title="The Supersuckers - Official Site" href="http://www.supersuckers.com/07website_dir/index.php"><strong>The Supersuckers</strong> </a>will play five shows around Colorado starting on<strong> March 1st</strong>. What a way to welcome a girl to town. <strong>The Supersuckers </strong>have got to be one of the hardest working bands in the world. Ed Spaghetti and crew played <em><strong>139</strong></em> shows last year.</p>
<p><strong>Gary Louris</strong> will be at the Showbox on <strong>March 16th</strong>. Louris is the vocalist for one of the best bands you maybe never heard of, <strong><a title="The Jayhawks - Official Site" href="http://www.jayhawksfanpage.com/">The Jayhawks</a></strong> (listen to <em><a title="The Jayhawks - Rainy Day Music" href="http://www.jayhawksfanpage.com/discographysinglesrainyday.html">Rainy Day Music</a></em>. It&#8217;s excellent even if you don&#8217;t live in Seattle). Although I&#8217;m not sure what kind of hellish afterlife you live in that doesn&#8217;t involve <strong>The Jayhawks</strong>, I&#8217;m sure it&#8217;s horribly bland and flavorless.</p>
<p><img src="http://cherrybombed.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/02/pete-way-ufo.jpg" alt="pete-way-ufo.jpg" width="353" height="281" /><br />
<em>Pete Way back in the day&#8230; </em></p>
<p><a title="UFO - Official Site" href="http://www.ufo-music.info/band.htm"><strong>UFO</strong></a> will be at <a title="El Corazon - Seattle" href="http://www.elcorazonseattle.com/"><strong>El Corazon</strong></a> on <strong>May 7th</strong>. This is one of the many shows re-scheduled from <strong>The Croc</strong>. It features the original lineup, which includes Pete Way &#8211; the Bass Master of <strong>UFO</strong>, <strong>Waysted</strong> (<em><a title="Waysted Tour Schedule" href="http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&amp;friendid=259494868">who are touring now</a></em>) and <strong><a title="Fastway - Say What You Will - Live youtube" href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XZ8h3gKzg4Q">Fastway</a></strong> &#8211; clearly one of the greatest metal bands ever. At least that last point is verra clear to Cherrybomb. Not to digress, but check this vid from <a title="Waysted " href="http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&amp;friendid=259494868"><strong>Waysted</strong></a>, &#8220;<em><a title="Waysted - Heaven Tonight - youtube" href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oeN_73Wno8Y">Heaven Tonight</a></em>&#8220;. <p>I would like to end on a <strong>Cheap Trick</strong> note. Because who doesn&#8217;t like a happy ending? I adore <strong><a title="Cheap Trick - Official Site" href="http://www.cheaptrick.com/">Cheap Trick</a></strong>. Every time I see them, I feel like those girls who used to faint in the front row of a Beatles show. Anyways, designer <strong>John Varvatos</strong> used CT for <strong><a title="Cheap Trick and John Varvatos" href="http://www.johnvarvatos.com/">his latest ad campaign</a></strong>. And it&#8217;s awesome. But seriously, is it me, or does Robin Zander just not age like the rest of us? Anyways, <a title="Cheap Trick - She's Tight - youtube" href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iiSypDGFLVo"><strong>Cheap Trick</strong></a> will be live at Budokan <em>again</em> on <strong>April 24th</strong>.</p>
<p>See you then. Now<strong>, <em>G</em></strong><em>et <strong>T</strong>he <strong>F</strong>uck <strong>O</strong>ut</em>.</p>

Hot damn this is one sweet bill. A very handsome and rocksure friend of Cherrybomb&#8217;s said <strong>The Foxgloves</strong> had the same consistency of Super Sugar Smacks. And I&#8217;m thinking that&#8217;s crunchy and sweet but won&#8217;t rot your teeth. Anyways, if you can&#8217;t make this show you can catch <strong><a href="http://www.myspace.com/thewhoremoanssuck" title="The Whore Moans - Seattle">The Whore Moans</a>, <a href="http://www.steelcagerecords.com/catalog/scr044.html" title="Get ">The Earaches</a> </strong>and <strong><a href="http://www.myspace.com/handshandshands" title="The Hands - Seattle">The Hands</a></strong> at <strong>The Hands</strong> record release on <strong>Friday, February 29th at Neumo&#8217;s</strong>. Getting drunk somewhere else that night? Okay, <strong>The Hands </strong>will play live at noon (PST) on <strong><a href="http://www.kexp.org/programming/instudio.asp" title="KEXP Where the Music Matters">KEXP</a></strong> on <strong>Tuesday, February 19th</strong>. Stream that baby. Going to Canada to house hunting because you plan to relocate there sometime at the end of the year? <strong>The Paper Dolls</strong> will be at <strong>Pub 340 in Vancouver, BC </strong>on <strong>March 14</strong>. Phew&#8230;</p>

<strong>The DT&#8217;s</strong> will be at <strong>The Funhouse</strong> on <strong>Friday, February 22nd</strong>. The <strong>DT&#8217;s</strong> don&#8217;t get to Seattle enough for me and that&#8217;s mostly because they love to rock the shit out of their hometown Bellingham, Washington. And when the <strong>DT&#8217;s</strong> aren&#8217;t in Bellingham, they are probably being adored by their fans in Spain. Get out and seem &#8216;em while you can. Why are you so far away from Seattle. Ash and Nick Cave (<em><a href="http://cherrybombed.com/?p=853">who performs at the Plug Awards on March 6th</a></em>) all in one month? No fair.</p>

<p>Anyways, it just so happens that a product like <strong>Lumi Taint</strong> does exist. <a href="http://www.southbeachskinsolutions.com/products1.htm">Skin Lightening for Sensitive Areas</a> by South Beach Solutions is the real deal. Don&#8217;t be fooled by pretenders like Randolph Mantooth. So says the <a href="http://www.southbeachskinsolutions.com/products1.htm">South Beach Solutions website</a> anyways:</p>
<p><em>Don&#8217;t Be Fooled by Pretenders!!!!!<br />
Anal and vaginal lightening is one of the hottest skin care trends today. Be sure not to be fooled by any other product claiming to be suitable for anal bleaching. These are old general skin lighteners trying to take advantage of the trend. Many contain harsh chemicals such as Hydroquinone or Kojic Acid that can burn or irritate or have ingredients that can leave you sticky or messy. </em></p>
<p>No Kojic? No Hydroquinone? Phew. But I have one more question. Can men use this amazing product too?</p>
<p><em>Can Men Use It on Their Penis?<br />
YES! We have thousands of men using our Lightening Gel to enhance the look of their penis, genital and anal areas.</em></p>
<p>Thousands? Really? Hmmm, I don&#8217;t know weather to be disgusted or amused. Maybe let&#8217;s go with amused and watch the vid again. Hello Sally!</p>

Axl Rose (<em>above. Yes really</em>) turns <strong>46</strong> today.</p>
<p>And Mamie Van Doren is <strong>77</strong>. Or maybe they got the ages wrong and <strong>Mamie&#8217;s</strong> turning <strong>46</strong>. Again. Okay, Axl doesn&#8217;t look that bad but when the hell is he gonna release <strong>Chinese Democracy </strong>(unless a .torrent counts as a release now)? <strong><a title="Amazon.com UK" href="http://www.amazon.co.uk/Chinese-Democracy-Guns-N-Roses/dp/B000NQDFP8">Amazon.com UK</a></strong> says it&#8217;s out <strong><a title="Pre-Order Chinese Democracy UK Release - Amazon.com" href="http://www.amazon.co.uk/Chinese-Democracy-Guns-N-Roses/dp/B000NQDFP8"> this Spring</a></strong>. But who are they kidding? That record is never coming out. Although you could pre-order it for those grandkids you don&#8217;t know about yet. Shit it&#8217;s tough to get old when the lights are on. Unless you&#8217;re <strong>Mamie Van Doren</strong> of course&#8230;</p>
<p><img src="http://cherrybombed.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/02/mamie-van-doren-is-77.jpg" alt="mamie-van-doren-is-77.jpg" width="332" height="496" /></p>
<p>Here is a photo of <strong>Mamie</strong> (<em>above</em>) taken today according to <strong><a title="Mamie Van Doren is 77" href="http://www.mamievandoren.com/">her website</a></strong>. No question the lovely <strong>Ms. Van Doren</strong> has had some work. For sure the camera is soft on her in more ways than one, but you can&#8217;t tell me that woman looks <strong>77</strong>. Not from that photoshopped distance anyways.</p>

Wendy is taped and ready for the weekend&#8230;are you? </em></p>
<p>&#8230;is the day we should all start drinking heavily, straight through <span style="font-style: italic; font-weight: bold">&#8217;til November</span>. And mostly, you should go somewhere other than your couch to do it. Unless that couch is getting you laid. If that is in fact the case, carry the fuck on. All curse words aside, I&#8217;m completely confused about how to misuse my vote. I filled out my absentee ballot and then ripped it up. Anyways, lets get back to talking about what&#8217;s really important. Rock and Roll, baby&#8230;and we&#8217;re off:</p>
<p><strong>Thursday, February 7th:</strong></p>

<strong><a title="Lesli Wood - Ms. Led - Official Site" href="http://www.lesliwood.com/">Ms. Led</a></strong> tells it like it is. Their music is angry and urgent with lyrics that will shake you awake. If they don&#8217;t, then you, sir, are dead.</p>
<p><a title="Club Fuel - Pioneer Square" href="http://www.fuelseattle.com/home.htm"><span style="font-weight: bold">Hobo Libido</span><br />
<strong>Club Fuel</strong></a><br />
<span style="font-weight: bold">HL</span> has a new track up on their <strong><a title="Hobo Libido - Seattle" href="http://www.myspace.com/hobolibido">Myspace</a></strong> site called &#8220;<strong><em>Love Cow</em></strong>&#8220;. Ding dang it&#8217;s pretty sweet. And it has cowbell in it, just as a song called <em><strong>Love Cow</strong></em> should. The beginning of the song made me think of both <strong>Thin Lizzy</strong> and <strong>Mountain</strong> at the same time. Which under normal circumstances, would have made that <span style="font-weight: bold">70&#8217;s</span> side of my brain explode. Fortunately, normal circumstances and Cherrybomb rarely intersect on the road of rock and roll. <em>Phew</em>&#8230;</p>
<p><strong>Friday, February 8th</strong>:</p>

In other super art girl news, lens-mistress <strong><a title="Lilly Warner Photography" href="http://www.lillywarner.com/">Lilly Warner </a></strong> is showing her photos of Seattle&#8217;s own <strong><a title="SSP - Seattle Semi Pro Wrestling - ITSALLREAL - Official Site" href="http://www.itsallreal.net/wrestlers/">SSP</a></strong> at the <strong><a title="Cafe Venus and Mars Bar - Seattle" href="http://www.cafevenus.com/indexa.html">Cafe Venus and Mars Bar</a></strong> through <strong>February 29th</strong>.</p>

<strong> Shim&#8217;s</strong> follow-up to the sweet release <strong>In the Veins</strong>, &#8220;<em><strong>Feel Like a King</strong></em>&#8221; is out tonight. The last time I saw <a title="Shim RULES - Seattle" href="http://www.shimrock.com/"><strong>Shim</strong></a>, I loved them as much as the first time I saw them. Bring earplugs and your love for dry ice.</p>

<strong>Lesbian</strong> and <strong><a title="OvO - Italy" href="http://www.barlamuerte.com/bands/ovo/">OvO</a></strong> on a Saturday night? Okay, to be fair, <strong><a title="OVO - Anime Morte - Good freakin' god - Youtube" href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RTvFd50UNzc&amp;feature=related">OvO is from Italy</a></strong> and sounds like something from a <strong><a title="Dario Argento - King of Italian Horror" href="http://www.houseofhorrors.com/argento.htm">Dario Argento</a></strong> movie, so maybe you never heard of &#8216;em. I&#8217;ll let you slide this one time, but next time, man&#8230;knuckle <strong>Lesbian</strong> sandwich for you.</p>
<p><em><strong>Looking Ahead&#8230;: </strong></em></p>
<p><strong><a title="Rufus Wainwright - Sweet Home Chicago" href="http://www.rufuswainwright.com/">Rufus Wainwright</a></strong> will be at The Paramount on <strong>March 13th</strong>. I&#8217;m ashamed to say I was only slightly aware of Rufus until recently. If you are Rufus ignorant like Cherrybomb see the <strong><a title="Leonard Cohen - I'm Your Man" href="http://www.leonardcohenimyourman.com/">Leonard Cohen doc, &#8220;I&#8217;m Your Man&#8221;</a></strong>. The doc&#8217;s approach is a little unconventional but the performances (that include the likes of <strong>Nick Cave</strong> and <strong>Beth Orton</strong>) are completely stellar. Wainwright&#8217;s version of <a title="Rufus Wainwright - Hallelujah" href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mmbQEQltOwM"><strong>Cohen&#8217;s &#8220;Hallelujah&#8221;</strong></a> will make you a fan if you aren&#8217;t one already.</p>

<p><strong><a title="Ministry - Official Site" href="http://www.ministrymusic.org/">Ministry</a></strong> is at <strong>The Showbox </strong>on <strong>March 29th</strong>. I lost my shoes at a Ministry show once. I never liked those shoes anyway but I still love <strong>Ministry</strong>. I like my rock hard and fast or I want no rock at <strong>ALL</strong>. <strong><a title="Hell's Belles - All Girl AC/DC Tribute - Seattle" href="http://www.hellsbelles.info/shows.htm">Hell&#8217;s Belles</a></strong> has two shows on <strong>February 23rd</strong> at <strong>Hell&#8217;s Kitchen </strong>in Tacoma. All ages at 3:00 (!) and 21+ at 9:00. Vocalist <strong>Jamie Nova&#8217;s </strong>other band, <strong><a title="Witchburn - Seattle" href="http://www.myspace.com/witchburn">Witchburn</a></strong> (<em>who are so excellent</em>) will be at <strong>El Corazon</strong> on Wednesday, <strong>February 13th</strong>.</p>

Hey Mom. Look what I learned in school today&#8230;</p>
<p><strong>West Virginia</strong> is considering letting children as young as ten have access to <em>&#8220;<strong><a title="If you are 10 and live in West Virginia you can have a gun..." href="http://www.iht.com/articles/ap/2008/01/31/america/Young-Hunters.php">hunter training</a></strong>&#8220;</em> in school. <strong>Hunting is a 1.5 billion dollar industry</strong> in West Virginia.</p>
<p><em>To secure a license, residents have to complete at least 10 hours of training and be at least 10 years old when they take the test, which includes demonstrating proper gun safety. Would-be hunters have to show they can load and unload a gun, carry it across obstacles, and keep the muzzle pointed in the right direction. The fee for a license is $33.</em><em> <a style="font-weight: bold" title="West Virginia Senator Billy Wayne Bailey - Maybe not so much a Dem..." href="http://dailymail.com/News/statenews/200802010222">Sen. Billy Wayne Bailey</a>, who introduced the bill this month, doesn&#8217;t envision students firing real guns during class time.</em></p>
<p>In other good news for West Virginia, Presidential candidate <strong><a title="Huckabee Wins West Virginia - Newsweek" href="http://www.blog.newsweek.com/blogs/stumper/archive/2008/02/05/why-huckabee-s-west-virginia-win-is-bad-news-for-romney.aspx">Mike Huckabee won the state&#8217;s primary today</a></strong>.</p>
