Motörhead Postpone European Tour – Lemmy Says He Needs To Focus On Getting Better

Well, this is bad news if you had tickets to see Motörhead on their upcoming European tour set to kick off on November 7th, as the band and Lemmy himself released statements yesterday saying they would be postponing the tour until Lemmy is truly ready to rock. Here’s part of the statement from The Bastard himself:

“Motörhead has had to postpone the forthcoming European tour until early 2014. We have made the decision because I am not quite ready to hit the road yet, and am working my way back to full fitness and rude health.

“Don’t worry – I’m not about to start promoting veganism and alcohol-free beverages, but it is fair to say that I personally have been reconfiguring areas of my life to make sure I can come back fitter and stronger than ever.”

And while this is a bummer, it’s also good news as it appears that Lemmy is taking getting well seriously, but doesn’t plan on becoming the next ArKay spokesperson anytime soon. So it’s a win/win for Lemmy and Jack Daniels. For now anyway.
