According to Ultimate Guitar, Lemmy Kilmister recently underwent surgery to have a defibrillator fitted into his chest, to help his heart beat normally. I mean, I always assumed that Lemmy’s heart was regularly hooked up to a giant amp, and that and his steady diet of Jack Daniels and ciggy’s would never get the best of him. So how the hell Lemmy’s ticker managed to keep beating on it’s own until now, will forever remain one of the world’s greatest mysteries. Of course, like you, I’m wishing Lem a quick recovery, as well as many more years of being the greatest thing to ever happen to rock and roll, since the invention rock and roll.
Motörhead‘s 25th (!) studio album, “Aftershock“, is due out in September. Not so ironically is the fact that one of the tracks on Aftershock is called “Heartbreaker”. Stay strong Lemmy!
