“Hair I Go Again” – A Heavy Metal Documentary About Determination, Failure, And The Middle Aged Dream Of Opening For Dokken (Or Any Other Band That Says Yes)

Hair I Go Again. A documentary about two middle aged guys trying to resurrect their 1985 metal band in 2012. Directed/Produced by Steve McClure, and Kyle Kruger.

Pretty quickly into the trailer for the upcoming documentary flick “Hair I Go Again“, it’s looks like things might not end well for now middle-aged headbangers Steve McClure, and Kyle Kruger. The film follows McClure and Kruger as they attempt to reform their 1985 band “Tryxx”. The only things standing in their path to fame and fortune are that guitarist, Steve, can’t play the guitar anymore, vocalist, Kyle, says he won’t go on stage until he loses 50lbs, former bandmate, Gordon, suffers from severe anxiety about being on stage again, and nobody quite knows what became of the bass player, JT. What could possibly go wrong?

Produced and directed by Steve McClure and Kyle Kruger (who have both worked extensively in film and television since the 90′s), the flick features appearances from 80′s bands like Quiet Riot, Keel, Dokken, Winger, Kix, and even Phil Campbell of Motörhead. According to the film’s Facebook page, it looks like it will be out sometime in February, 2013. And as a proud, card carrying member of the heavy metal community, I can’t wait.

  1. No band with 2 “xx”s can possibly fail.

  2. I know! Britny Fox should have thought of that.

  3. I really intend to save this blog, “Hair I
