Christopher Walken heads to Broadway for A Behanding in Spokane in 2010.

The Walken will be staring (at you!) in the upcoming Broadway production, A Behanding in Spokane. Walken’s character, Charmichael, is searching for his lost hand. Sam Rockwell (Choke, Moon, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind) has also been cast in the play, which is set to open a 16-week run on March 4, 2010 at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre in New York.

  1. I saw Christopher on the View this morning. I don’t know what Spokane is referred to in the play, but we who live in SPOKANE

  2. I think I just sent an incomplete message to you. Sorry about that. In any event, If Spokane is referred to in the play as being the place here in Washington State, the members of the View pronounced it incorrectly.
Gramatically, it should be Spokane (the A saying its own name because of the E on the end). However, we who live in Spokane (and indeed all of Washington) call it Spokane (the A sounding like the a in “apple). This is no problem for me, but it could offend some of those living here in Spokane, WA -
