Ken Ober has passed away at the age of 52. Sadness…

If you had a pulse and you regularly paid your cable bill back in the late 80’s and early 90’s, you will remember Ken Ober as the host of MTV’s game show, Remote Control. On Saturday, Ober told a friend he was experiencing flu-like symptoms and was planned to see his doctor as soon as possible. He was found dead in his California home on Sunday.

Ober was only 52 and was a native of Boston.

Swill Alert!: UV Cherry Vodka… 4

UV
UV Cherry Flavored Vodka.

I would generally be on board with a Cherry flavored bottle of booze. This is not one of those times. As with most other flavored vodka, the alcohol content of UV’s Cherry Vodka has been reduced (!) to 30%. So not only does this vodka not taste good, it won’t get you drunk. Now that’s brutal.

For once I wish I actually was talking about the band and not this hair-don’t.

American Carnage – Slayer, Megadeth and Testament To Tour in Early 2010. First Stop…SEATTLE! 0

Posted on November 16, 2009 by DJC

The most Slay-tanic show since 1991. Slayer, Megadeth and Testament kick off their winter tour in Seattle on January 18th, 2010.  Thanks to NPD for the very metal 411.

This is the first time in 18 years that I have ever wet my pants this very metal trifecta has toured together. And, if this news wasn’t metal enough for you, blocks of tickets for the 26 stop tour will go for only $10.

The American Carnage Tour kicks off in Seattle at the WaMu Theater (BOO!), on January 18th.
