Davila 666 @ The Funhouse in Seattle. October 18th, 2009. Photo by Lori Penney.
My very sexy friend and rock ‘n’ roll shutterbug, Lori Penney, sent me some great photos from the Davila 666 show last Sunday. During Davila’s set, I became convinced that the snake around Davila 666’s eight-armed timekeeper was real and at one point, even bit him on the hand. Everyone told me I was wrong (I blame the Red Beer goggles) and now we have photographic proof that the snake was in fact, rubber.
Check out the sweet photo set after the jump. As always, many thanks to Lori Penney for the memories…
According to The Flaming Lips front man Wayne Coyne, the bands next record will be a blow-by-blow reinterpretation of Pink Floyd’s 1973 album The Dark Side Of The Moon. Coyne made the announcement during a Lips show in LA on October 15th.
The record, due out before the end of the year, will include vocal contributions by Peaches and Henry Rollins (!).
Cherrybombed.com is about the music and culture of the Pacific Northwest, as well as other cool happenings around the world. We also shine a spotlight on celebrities behaving badly. Here, you will find videos, low-brow artwork and images, and tattoos only a mother could hate.
If boozing was an olympic event, we would be on a box of Wheaties. If this all sounds familiar to you (and your mother), welcome home.
