I just heard from a very metal source that Motorhead has just canceled their gig in Las Vegas tonight. It seems that Lemmy has lost his voice. Tour supporters Nashville Pussy and Reverend Horton Heat will still appear despite Motorhead’s cancellation.

Cheers booze hounds! It’s Saturday night so decided it was finally time to pick up a bottle of the new city vodka by Absolut, Absolut Boston. Without much effort I managed to make a pretty tasty cocktail with the scary sounding Black Tea and Elderflower flavored vodka. Here’s how the path to my Sunday hangover started…:
Jigger & 1/2 Absolute Boston
Lemon Italian Soda
Lemon Soda Water (splash)
Juice from 1/2 lemon
I free poured into a glass already filled with ice and garnished with slices of lemon. The tea flavor is really strong but mellows quickly sitting in the glass with the lemon. Absolut Boston is flexible enough to mix with pretty much any fruit concoction (think of your favorite flavored cold tea) or a slam-dunk with Ginger Ale.
As surprising as Absolut Boston is, it’s definitely a summer party liquid. The black tea might be too much for some but our tasters (currently on cocktail number two), are digging my special brew as well as the lift from the caffeine, thanks to the tea. Who needs Red Bull? Grrrrrr…
10/17/09 Update: Absolut Boston also rocks with coke. If you have the means, try it with a real cane sugar cola beverage. Captain WHO?
