Adding fuel to the rumors that Aerosmith’s hiatus just might be a permanent one, guitarist Joe Perry has put his toxic-twin and band mate Steven Tyler on notice during a recent interview to the Associated Press. Sez The Perry:
All I know is he’s got to get his act together. I mean, he and I haven’t written a song together alone in the same room in over 10 years, so there’s been some changes in paradigm of what Aerosmith is.
Whoa. Anytime someone pulls out the word “paradigm” out of their scrabble box, you know they’re really pissed off. Anyway, Perry hasapparently been torked off at Tyler since he fell off the stage during the bands gig at Sturgisin August:
I was pretty (upset), because right before that, he had pulled a muscle in his leg. And we had to take two weeks off and we missed probably seven dates.
Last month Tyler, who is also working on a solo-record with a new management company, talked to Rolling Stone about how things are going internally with the band:
Has the band done things to me where I’ve wanted to quit? Positively. But I’ve stuck in there for the sake of a few sounds we got. I respect the power this band has in and of itself, regardless of who says what.
