Airpane Earwig: Serial Thrilla – Prodigy… 0

Prodigy, Serial Thrilla from 1997 Fat of the Lamb.

It’s a long flight from Seattle to New Hampshire, but as usual, I made it. I was on a red eye so I thought I might be able to sleep. That was until this Prodigy noise started eeking  into my ears every time I woke up. Lucky for me, Serial Thrilla (as well as rest of Fat of the Lamb), still sounds great 12 years later.

Off to the rocky coast of New Hampshire, or what is commonly referred to here as the “beach” for the rest of the day. More later…

Aerosmith Cancels Tour… 0

Steven T yler is sad. And so is Cherrybomb…

Well, it’s official now. Aerosmith has just cancelled their remaining tour dates due to Steven Tyler’s broken shoulder. Tyler broke his shoulder and was treated for other injuries when he fell into the audience during a performance at Sturgis. Here’s the official scoop about the incident the Last Child himself:

We were in the middle of “Love in an Elevator,” Tyler said, “and the band slowly realized something was up. Well, I wasn’t gonna go hide under the big top and play ROCK STAR and wait for everything to be fixed.

I wanted to go out to the crowd to continue the show… so, the Train Kept A- Rollin’ and I ran out on the cat walk and grabbed my mic to finish the song. I was doing the Tyler shuffle and then I zigged when I should have zagged… AND I slipped.

As I live on the edge…I fell off the edge!

I landed upside down, and after twenty stitches on the back of my head, and a broken left shoulder, I just want to say that I’m plain grateful that I didn’t break my neck! In truth, after thousands of live shows, falling off the edge four times ain’t too bad.

Aerosmith started the tour by playing Toys In The Attic in it’s etierety. For the second leg, the band switched to the classic 1976  album Rocks. A favorite of the bands legions of fans. Fans who, while disappointed by this latest news, are wishing Tyler a speedy recovery.

Thanks to LP for the link.
