No, this is why you’re fat…

Food, Inc., a film that goes behind the scenes of the food industry, opens tomorrow in Seattle. The films director Robert Kenner hopes Food will raise awareness about the foods we eat, how that food is cultivated (or created quite frankly) and the giant corporations that control it all. Corporations like Monsanto or ConAgra. Both Montsanto and ConAgra own or have their hands in an overwhelming number of consumables that line the shelves of category-killing supermarkets like Kroger.

Kenner says that more education is key in order to create the necessary paradigm shift in the average consumer’s shopping habits. What it all boils down to is this. Once you find out where your food really comes from and what’s in it, you might pass the next time someone offers you a hot-dog-on-a-stick.
