Not Really News: Bank Bailout $$ Goes Golfing…
The good-old-boys at Northern Trust work one out after hearing the news that Sheryl Crow would be giving out blow-jobs performing later…? For AFJ.
Chicago’s Northern Trust was bailed-out by you The Feds to the tune of $1.5 billion dollars (thanks to Freddy Pants for catching my typo as there is in fact a big-ass difference between $1.5 million and $1.5 billion). And you what that means. Exactly. ROADTRIP…!!!
Northern Trust Bank flew hundreds of clients and employees to Los Angeles and put up at some of the fanciest hotels, like The Beverly Wilshire ($450 a night) in Beverly Hills,The Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel ($300+ a night), The Ritz Carlton in Marina Del Rey ($300+ a night) and the Casa Del Mar in Santa Monica ($375 a night). The party continued with days of boozing and expensive dinners as well as concerts by such high-priced talent as Sheryl Crow, Earth Wind & Fire and the band, Chicago.
I didn’t know that Sheryl Crow actually qualified as high-priced talent, but I do know that in December, Northern Trust laid off 450 employees, roughly 4% of it’s workforce.
