Diebold for McCain…?

Diebold Truck in Ohio, a swing state.
And if anticipation of tonight’s debate wasn’t freaking you out enough, there goes a Diebold van with a McCain bumper sticker on it. In case you didn’t know, Diebold makes voting machines. Yee-Haw!
Speaking of Ohio, Ohio’s Secretary of State is suing voting machine maker, Diebold. The lawsuit claims that the touch-screen machines made by Diebold “produce computer stoppages” or delays and are vulnerable to “hacking, tampering and other attacks.” Collectively, Ohio spent $83 million in 2006 on Diebold’s faulty touch screens. Last month, Diebold’s spokesperson, Chris Riggsall (I kid you not, Riggsall is his real name) disclosed the Diebold machine vote dropping errors to customers in 34 different states. One of those states was New Hampshire, another 2008 swing state. Diebold also happens to be the sole provider of voting machines for the state of New Hampshire. Yee-Haw!
Check back later as I’ll be live-blogging the VP debate tonight.
