Alex Pardee, Escaped Conviction, from Scratches and Abrasions.

Much like the late, great Ralph Steadman, California artist Alex Pardee is nothing but full-tilt when it comes to his craft. Pardee’s newest show, “Scratches and Abrasions” opens at the SURU Gallery in Los Angeles on July 12th.

In addition to the opening of Scratches, Pardee is getting ready to release his first movie, Chadam. A CGI/3-D cartoon based on Pardee’s own creep-tastic character, Chadam.

And since opening a major show and making a movie still left Pardee with some openings in his schedule, he decided to design some ill skins for your your Guitar Hero guitar. In whatever spare time he has left (Pardee admits he doesn’t sleep much) he likes to creates artwork for bands like Seattle’s own Aiden and the Swedish Metal band, IN FLAMES. Did I mention Pardee also has his own line of evil toys and shirts?

And even though Pardee has stated that there are no hidden political statements in his art, he said he “jumped at the chance” to create this Obama Poster (above) to support the Senator’s political campaign. All proceeds from the sale of this limited-edition poster go to support other artists that are creating other works, like t-shirts and buttons, in support of Obama’s presidential run.

Alex Pardee never went to Art School. He lives and works in California.
